The sketch on the left is the first concept sketch I made of the WENCH character that I liked. The sketch on the right is were the momentum was on and I had a short story to illustrate her. This was a two year period of time.

This was a gender-swap comic I did use a Golden Age story of the same title from Startling Comics #v2#1 (4) (December 1940) Pines publications.
The original characters are Dr. X (master of occult science), Cynthia (his niece), and Bob Stone (her fiancé). I gender-swapped Bob for a character I was working on at the time: Mara Virago.
