The Women of the Woods series started back in 2005. The objective of the series was to study women role-playing masculine characters in the Brandywine Woods. The young woman who played the role had never hear of a samurai. I dressed her up in my Aikido uniform, gave her a sword and a brief description of the character and off she went.

The Women of the Woods series started back in 2005. The objective of the series was to study women role-playing masculine characters in the Brandywine Woods. The young woman who played the role was checking out her equipment, especially the sword since she was being tasked with slayer the dragon that kidnapped her husband.

The Women of the Woods series started back in 2005. The objective of the series was to study women role-playing masculine characters in the Brandywine Woods. This is a photo-bash. I took the reference from a Deviantart Stock Photographer MJRanum and used one of my photos of the Brandywine Woods. I love the simple juxtaposition the samurai sword wielding ballerina dancing through the woods plays on ones’ mind.
