Kurt Inker Comic Teaser #1 - Jack Kirby's Dr. Hayward and 3 Strong Women Pin-ups
Hello! I'm Kurt Inker, and I'm excited to share with you my first limited-edition Comic Teaser!
As a comic book enthusiast, I chose to use one of Jack Kirby's first comic book stories, The Diary of Dr. Hayward from JUMBO COMICS issue #1, for this teaser. Kirby's original layout served as my guide to create beautiful inked pages that reflect the times and challenge the reader. I also included 3 Strong Women Pin-ups that were only in sketch form from Mr. Kirby: Big Barda from Mister Miracle, a weird woman looking like Big Barda, and Goddess Ember from Kirby's Genesis project.
Using various inking tools, I created my original pages on 13x19 heavy-bound paper. The Comic Teaser itself is printed on two sheets of 11x17 inch Hammermill Cream Colored Printer Paper, 20 lb, using my Epson Workforce WF-7840 printer. Each Teaser Comic is signed and dated per print run, and is also bagged and boarded for preservation.
