The Age of Disenchantment is the second volume of the Alack Sinner comics, a hard-boiled detective series written by Carlos Sampayo and illustrated by José Muñoz. While the stories follow the traditional detective genre, they also address the corruption and injustices of society, making social commentary and exploring themes of violence and exile in a noir-ish New York City at the end of the 20th century. The authors have rearranged the stories chronologically, providing a new reading experience for fans. The series is set against a jazz soundtrack and spans from 1975 to the 2000s.
